CW-7 (CAM~WAVE Wireless Audio/Video Transmission):
Q: What is the maximum transmission distance?
A: Longer than the CW-5HD; we see greater than 80 metres line-of-sight outside the office in Langley, however, distance will vary depending on the surrounding environment.
Q: What is the latency?
A: Less than 1ms.
Q: What frequencies are used?
A: 5190, 5230, 5270, 5310, 5510, 5550, 5590, 5630, and 5670 MHz
Q: Can I manually select a channel/frequency?
A: Yes! A channel-select dial on the TX and RX allows you to select from 4 channels A,B,DFS Indoor and DFS outdoor
Q: What are the power outputs for each channel?
A: Max power is available across all 4 channels 20mW per antenna. Low power setting 5mW per antenna
Q: Does the power output affect the transmission distance?
A: Compared to the CW-5HD the higher power is used to give better picture quality and greater distance
Q: Can I transmit from one TX to multiple RX?
A: Yes! The multi-cast function allow you to transmit from one TX to an unlimited number of RXs. Note: Multi-cast does not work on DFS channels.
Q: Is CW-7 compatible with CW-5HD?
A: No. CW-7 and CW-5HD operate on different frequencies with different bandwidths
Q: Can I have multiple multi-cast systems in one area?
A: Yes! You can operate up to 2 TXs with multiple RXs in one area. Use the channel select dial on the RX to tune-in to a TX. Note: Multi-cast does not work on DFS channels.
Q: Can I send multiple signals to one RX?
A: Not simultaneously. The channel select dial on the RX allows you to tune in to a TX but it will take approximately 10 seconds to link on channels 1and 2. DFS channels may take approximately a minute to link
Q: What are the compatible formats and frame rates?
A: HD-SDI and SD-SDI 1080: 60i, 59.94i, 50i, 29.97p, 25p, 24p, 23.98p, 30PsF, 29.97PsF, 25PsF, 24PsF, 23.98PsF; 720: 59.94p, 50p; 625: 50i; 525: 59.94i
Q: Does the CW-7 transmit audio?
A: Yes! SDI imbedded audio (channels 1 & 2) will transmit in sync with the video
Q: Does the CW-7 transmit time code or meta data?
A: CW-7 currently does not support time code or meta data.
Q: What are the power requirements?
A: 11-17V DC via V-Mount battery, or 4pin XLR DC input
Q: Can you send camera control signals through CW-7?
A: CW-7 currently does not support camera control signals
Q. Can the CW-7 transmit through walls?
A. Yes! However, the signal has difficulty transmitting through metal and mortar walls.
